Environmental Policy

We at Duncan Print Group are committed to the care of the environment, prevention of pollution, efficient use of natural resources and compliance with all applicable legal requirements. This is not just a statement but is a commitment throughout our organisation. We actively seek to:

  • Maximise energy efficiency throughout our operational processes

  • Minimise waste production and wherever possible recycle waste and ensure chemical waste is disposed of safely to eliminate risks to the environment

  • Identify, quantify, and continually improve the environmental impact of the company demonstrated by measures and targets under continual review.

  • Work with our customers to achieve the same objectives in their organisation

To prove our commitment, management systems are implemented to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. Controls are in place to provide an unbroken chain of custody for all materials sourced from sustainable forests, meeting the requirements of the FSC and PEFC. This provides our customers with assurance that their materials are from well-managed, sustainable and certified forests where biodiversity is encouraged.

Paper and board are biodegradable, recyclable and can claim unequivocally that they are available from a renewable resource, unlike many alternatives.

Technical guidance will be provided to customers in innovative packaging techniques that minimise the use of materials whilst maximising visual impact and functionality. We strive to identify opportunities for customers to reduce their use of plastics in favour of recyclable alternatives.

This policy is communicated to all employees.
