The Duncan Print Group has made a major investment in high quality, high-speed digital printing. With no plate costs or press make-ready economic low run lengths of high quality brochures, leaflets and posters are now available. Furthermore the variable data capabilities of our systems allows the production of both numbered documents, where an audit trail is important, or highly personalised items which can be used in targeted marketing campaigns.
To support our digital printing capability we have also invested in specialist short run finishing equipment. A booklet-maker offers high quality wire stitching, with optional creasing and spine press to produce brochures with no cracking or splitting on the covers. A folding machine and card cutter allow rapid finishing of leaflets and business cards.
Links between the digital presses and our e-commerce system offer clients on-line and instant dynamic document creation for structured items such as stationery and business cards, while at the same time providing more sophisticated design capability for complex printed items such as posters, brochures and direct marketing pieces. The service enables clients to create, update and amend their collateral instantly, at minimal expense. The system is integrated into the prepress and administration functions at DP&P, re-engineering the traditional print workflow to reduce cost and time.
